Overview

Job Advertisement NLC4 £20,370 to £21,680 (from 1 April 2020) plus appropriate allowances Based within one of our Waste Management Depots throughout North Lanarkshire, you will work as part of a team to provide the Council’s Refuse Collection Service and will be involved in the removal of food, household, industrial or commercial waste from a variety of locations. You should be trained in manual handling and lifting gear techniques and previous experience of refuse collection duties and vehicles would be advantageous although full training will be available. You should also be capable of dealing effectively with enquiries from the public and be able to follow verbal and written instructions. You will be willing to participate in routine or ad hoc overtime to meet the requirements of the service and be required to work in all types of weather. Work Pattern: Week 1 – Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday 6.45am - 6.10pm Sunday 6.45am – 5.30pm Week 2 – Monday, Thursday, Friday 6.45am to 6.10pm North Lanarkshire Council are Happy to Talk Flexible Working, we operate a Smarter Working Policy.
