Overview
A new live 10 month role for an experienced Clerk of Works to work with a local authority in Lochgilphead, Argyll. The role; - To ensure that the site operations and construction works are carried out to the standard required, contract documents and current legislation, and are delivered to specification, on time, on budget and to an appropriate quality, including: - Becoming familiar with all relevant drawings, specifications and written instructions, checking them, and using them as a reference when inspecting the work. - Making visual inspections of the work to ensure that they comply with all applicable regulations, standards, drawings, specifications and written instructions. - Taking measurements and samples on site to make sure that the work and the materials meet the specifications and quality standards - Acting in the role of "Supervisor" with respect to the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract, including: - Notify & undertaking tests and inspections - Watching tests undertaken by the Contractor - Test/inspection (and mark) the Plant & Materials before they are sent to site - Search for Notifications of Defects - Issuing Defects Certificate If this role is of interest then please get in touch to discuss, ideally someone in a similar role or a supervisor type position would be an ideal background to have, construction experience is essential.
