Software Asset & Configuration Analyst Dundee £30,000 - £35,000 benefits & Bonus Software License, CMDB, ITIL, Software Asset Management, Configuration Management Your new company Change Recruitment are partnered with their well-established client who operate on a global scale from their offices in Dundee. As part of continued success and growth, the team are now on the lookout to further strengthen the team with a Software Asset & Configuration Analyst Your new role You will ensure that all Software Assets and their associated licenses are well understood and managed, maintaining legal position and forecasting demand and budget. You’ll ensure compliance and Terms of Use positions are understood across all Software, SaaS and platform integrations. Ensure that the introduction of any new Software and associated Licenses is done in a controlled manner to ensure that the use, ownership and support of the application is understood and managed going forward. You will build controls to ensure Licensing positions are audited on a repeating and will maintain the Definitive Software Library (DSL) and work with the wider Enterprise Technology team to ensure that the DSL is up to date and a strategy is in place for all applications. You will build towards replicating this within a Customer facing Service Catalogue modelled as an approved Software catalogue What you'll need to succeed · ITIL v3 intermediate or better qualification · Experience working in a Software Asset Management and Configuration Management function · Experience generating and creating reporting within software asset and configuration management · In depth experience managing a wide range of licenses and licensing models · In depth experience managing a CMDB, utilizing relationship models · Excellent analytical skills · Excellent vendor management skills · Excellent negotiating skills · Excellent financial management skills · Attention to detail · Good presentation skills · Experience working in a global setting · Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up to date copy of your CV, or contact Matt Kelly.
