Overview

The Opportunity We are looking for a HR Manager to build the HR function from scratch with the design and delivery of all HR policy and procedures, Recruitment, HR Projects, ER, Change management, Performance Management and more. They haven't had a HR function before, so there will be a whole education piece around how best to utilise Human Resources function from both a strategic and operational standpoint. Role Requirements Management Prepares regular reports on manning, HR information and issues. Creates and updates Employee Handbooks, Manuals as appropriate. Manages an accurate HR Information Database - Plan & design concepts for improvements to existing HR Management systems to increase the overall efficiency of the department & company. Provides information to external bodies as required and requested. e.g. reference letters, manning returns, registration to Data Protection Commissioner, DWP etc. To ensure the smooth management of all aspects of human resource, both operationally & strategically. Be strategic & analytical to see the long & short term objectives for the department & overall in line with the company objectives. Oversee the office administration function of the Company. Manpower Planning and Recruitment Develops a manpower plan in line with the business objectives. Advises on resourcing strategies and assessment processes. Manages the recruitment and selection process for assignments. Liaise with Agencies. Advises on terms of offers. Designs induction and training programmes for all new staff. performance management initatives. Employee Relations Work across boundaries and cultures to ensure compliance in HR processes and procedures; review and take responsibility to improve service quality and processes. Work with line HR to align current statutory requirements, process rules and regulations. Be a business partner and work closely with the line to provide relevant advice pertaining to HR issues and provide support to various key HR initiatives and programmes. Develop and implement company-wide human resource strategies and initiatives to achieve higher employee satisfaction, retention and development of talent. Advises on disciplinary and grievance matters and participates in the process as appropriate. To be available for employees to raise issues and provide a personal confidential service on welfare, health and other personal issues. Training and Development. Manages an appraisal process which meets the requirements of the company. Develops and manages a supervisory and management training programme. Advises on external suppliers/course providers. Supervise, train and develop the HR team. Educational Qualification/ Experience / Skills and Competencies Requirements: Degree in Human Resource Management or CIPD qualified Strong knowledge in employment law Strong Employee Relations (ER) experience Experienced HR Generalist Ability to work autonomously and use your own initiative Personally resilient to work under pressure and in difficult situations Commercial & Analytical Possess interpersonal skills to influence /communicate with all levels Pleasant disposition Positive working attitudes Must have experience leading a team Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint)
