Hoover Candy, part of Haier Europe, has undergone a major transformation in recent years, which has seen sales revenues increase to record levels. We have an exciting future vision and are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer (domestic appliances and white goods) to help us achieve this. This role is covering the Boston, Lincolnshire area. This flexible role requires a self-motivated engineer who has experience of effectively diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults and a good understanding of electric and electronic theory and the ability to use these in practice. On joining Hoover Candy all Field Service Engineers will complete an initial 3 weeks of training at our residential training academy with a follow up 2 weeks later. Upon completion of training, engineers are based from home and attend calls each day in customers’ homes. Engineers are required to have a suitable driveway/ garage/ parking space to keep their van. Benefits: Competitive base salary £23,751.73 plus the option to earn a realistic OTE c£30,000 Company profit related bonus (Potential 3% of annual salary paid quarterly) Tool kit and equipment for you to carry out repairs to a high standard, this includes fully stocked van, smart phone, uniform and tough pad. 25 days’ holiday bank holidays Extensive training Ability to plan your diary Brilliant staff discounts on products Access to Reward Gateway which offers a wide range of retailer discounts Required skills, knowledge & experience: Demonstrable experience of effectively diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults Good understanding of Electric and Electronic principles and ability to use in practice Valid driving licence Previous experience as a White Goods/Domestic Appliance Engineer is advantageous, but not essential Good level of computer literacy; able to fully utilise a computer/ Toughbook Friendly customer focused attitude and the ability to communicate at all levels Desire to learn and achieve more skills Offers of employment are subject to testing to ensure that candidates can comply with the basic health and safety requirements of the role; this includes being able to distinguish between live, neutral and earth wires.
