Overview

Professional Staffing Services are recruiting a Technical Consultant for a world leading Quality Assurance provider. Based out of Leatherhead this is a permanent position offering a salary up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience. Working as part of the UK Electrical Assurance team, this is a broad role providing a solution based service through every step of the product life cycle. The Consultant will also support Account Managers and the wider sales team with customer facing activities, seminars and trade shows. Duties of the Technical Consultant: - Providing electrical and electronic consultative and assurance services to end users, manufacturers, retailers, importers and distributors. This can include design support, evaluation and compliance requirement reviews. - Providing the technical lead in the delivery of client end to end projects. Manage from concept through to the delivery of the final report. - Research, develop and maintain key product and regulatory compliance requirements within the sector. - Work closely with the sales team to deliver presentations to clients, whilst supporting with sales visits and conference calls. - Work with the wider Assurance team ensuring sufficient headcount, necessary competence and Quality System requirements are made to deliver revenue from the orders secured. - When preparing project proposals, take the technical lead on quotations and major tenders for clients. - Project manage the delivery of Assurance projects, which utilise the internal resources or external contractors. - Speak to and advise clients resolution of findings following constructional reviews or testing and evaluation by a test laboratory. - Develop documents and evidence to support technical files - Produce final evaluation reports detailing summary, project findings and advice on next steps and recommendations. - Inspect installed equipment and systems to determine compliance and performance, including a fault finding investigation. - Build the companies global Assurance offering, including supply chain and management services by working with colleagues overseas. - Promote customer focus. The Ideal Technical Consultant: - Must be motivated and a self starter. - Will possess detailed knowledge and experience in the design, manufacture and delivery of medical devices to market. - Experience with key regulations for the UK, EU and North American markets. - Detailed knowledge of applicable standards such as IEC 62304, IEC 62366-1 and ISO 14971. - Knowledge of biocompatibility, sterilisation, device reprocessing, software as a medical device and cyber security is advantageous. - Have the ability to plan, prioritise and execute all work to a high standard. - Good time management skills, with a good technical and commercial acumen. - A professional, passionate and enthusiastic approach. - A results driven focus on activities to meet company goals.
