Hours of Work: Weekly Rota 6am – 3pm Monday to Thursday and 6am – 2pm on a Friday or 7.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am – 3.30pm on a Friday 1 hour unpaid for lunch A vacancy has arisen for a Plasma Cutter/Burner based at our client in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of handheld Plasma Cutting or Welding. Key accountabilities of the role holder include: Cut/Burn parts to customer specifications. Inspect material processed to ensure quality at all times. Experience of “Hot Works” would be an advantage e.g. Plasma, Arc Air, Oxyacetylene cutting and various types of welding. General Housekeeping ensuring the burning area is kept clean and organized. Ensure that material produced meets the specifications required as directed by the Supervisor. Inform the Supervisor / Maintenance immediately when a breakdown occurs so that the issue can be addressed immediately to avoid downtime. Ensure the correct PPE is being worn. Perform such other duties as the company may from time to time reasonably require. Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community. Applicants should be self-motivated and adaptable with strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality. They will be able to work on own initiative as well as a team player.
