Maternity Cover Role Fixed term 9 Months 1 st /2 nd line Support Engineer As part of the IT Team based in Stockton you will be responsible for 1 st /2nd line escalated support calls, network and telecoms and Voip Support. You will be required to investigate, diagnose and resolve issues relating to Desktop, Server and Network devices. This will include hardware and software issues which may require reconfiguring or upgrading, and you must demonstrate an understanding of these devices and related software. Conversant with all aspects of Windows Server 2003 – 2016, Active Directory, Group Policy.Knowledge of Windows XP – Windows 10. Experience, with all aspects of both local and wide-area networks, using TCP / IP infrastructure. We are looking for the right individuals to add to our growing IT team’s firepower initially during Maternity Cover Period, with possibility to extend. We are forward thinking and are looking for skills to meet our future challenges and projects not just our current estate, though some adaptability throughout the changeover is essential. Required Skills Network skills - LAN/WAN Wifi Maintenance (Meraki, Unifi) MS Office – 2013 - 2016 Windows Desktop Support Desktop and Laptop build and Hardware Maintenance Machine Rollout Ability to work with outside vendors. Must project a positive, friendly professional image on the phone and in person when on customer sites. Travel to different sites as and when required. Must have excellent documentation skills. Must be flexible in their approach to travel and projects undertaken. Advantages but not required Windows Server Support (2003 - 2016) Knowledge of Backup applications. Backup Exec, MBS and Veeam Backup & Replication Hyper-V, VMWare Installation, Management and Maintenance Office 365, User, Mailbox and Sharepoint Management About the company: We are family owned and run retail firm with stores across the UK.We support 400 users across multiple locations with centralized IT. The role will be based in Stockton, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend support and travel when required.
