The Role We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement professional who will be responsible for the definition, analysis, development and implementation of category strategies for IT and telecoms as well as other assigned categories. The role holder will be responsible for developing and owning strong working relationships with stakeholders and senior business leaders within the IT organisation and across Essar Oil UK. They will need to understand business priorities and requirements, providing deep expertise within IT and telecoms and other assigned categories, as well as having an intimate knowledge of the supply market, key dynamics and latest thinking within categories. Additionally, the individual will collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers and Procurement Team members to lead end to end strategic sourcing projects, manage contracts and assigned supplier relationships effectively to mitigate supply risks, and ensure maximise value delivery from our supplier relationships. About You Our ideal candidate will be an established procurement professional, who holds a relevant Technical or Business Degree, as well as CIPS Professional Diploma, or is working towards it. They will have expert knowledge in ERP Systems, in particular SAP, and will have strong IT and telecoms sourcing experience. Experience of other indirect categories e.g. Professional Services, Facility Management, HR etc. will be an added advantage. They will be required to have a proven track record with vendor negotiations and stakeholder and supplier relationship management, preferably working within the required IT category. They will be confident in communicating with internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in a written style, and will have experience in delivering presentations. They will need to be able to run multiple projects simultaneously, and have the ability to be agile in their approach to work.
