Overview
Therapeutic Radiographer - Portsmouth Consult Search & Selection are proud to be partnered with an innovative provider of specialist care who are currently seeking a high-calibre Therapeutic Radiographer to join their team on a permanent basis. The primary responsibility of the role is to support all aspects of the pathway of every patient receiving treatment at the facility. You would work in a busy centre with the clinical team of Lead and Senior Radiographers, Lead Physicist, Senior Dosimetrist, other Radiographers, Nurses and Administration staff in all aspects of the radiotherapy process. Key Responsibilities: Liaising closely with Radiotherapy and Radiography team/Lead Physicist and Senior Dosimetrist on site/ Diagnostic Radiographer/Senior Nurse - Chemotherapy /Senior Nurse - Outpatients / Administration team Following all duties as a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registrant (standards of conduct, performance and ethics) and following all Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards of proficiency Following clinical protocols, policies and procedures at all times and operating in full compliance Maintaining safe and effective working practices at all times, including the operation of equipment and systems in use within the centre in accordance with radiation regulations and quality assurance requirements Ensuring that all patients experience the highest levels of service at all time, in line with the agreed expectations for treatment within all centres and maintaining accurate and complete records of patient treatments at all times, in line with the agreed processes Participating and assisting in clinical audits, in line with the agreed processes Recording compliments alongside incidents and complaints and assist in proper investigation at all times ensuring that necessary safeguards are taken to prevent recurrence Working closely with colleagues to support the on-going improvement and continuous development of the care and services provided across the organisation and to promote the on-going success of the company. The ideal candidate will have/be: DCR (T) or BSc (Hons) in Radiotherapy (or equivalent) HCPC registration Previous experience within all aspects of Radiotherapy, quality assurance, pre-treatment and treatment. Desirable 1-2 years NHS experience post qualification, but not essential.
