Overview
Private GP Liverpool, Merseyside Competitive salary Our client is currently seeking to obtain the services of a Private General Practitioner (GP/MD) to provide medical expertise at their new private clinic at Exchange Station, Liverpool. An interest in personalised and preventive medicine, with a passion for health and wellbeing are particularly valued. Our client is a collaboration of scientific innovation and medical application, specialising in personalised and preventive health programmes. As specialists in clinical diagnostics, they offer direct access to a portfolio of hundreds of biomarker tests, proteomic and genomic measurements. GPs work closely with their team of scientists and clinic staff and provide private consultations to clients, including individuals and corporate clients. You will be encouraged to support and participate in the development and innovation of clinical areas, whilst providing a high standard of evidence based care. Consultations include explaining test results and providing appropriate individual advice and action plans and communicating the benefits of preventive health and lifestyle interventions. Our client would initially require someone for two days per month although this could change. Essential Criteria: - A minimum of five years’ post full registration experience, with at least 12 months’ experience in general practice or equivalent - Full GMC registration with a licence to practice and currently on the GP register - Evidence of medical indemnity cover - An interest in preventative medicine and wellbeing - A flexible approach to working hours and location - The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team Desirable Criteria: - Experience of working within the private health sector - Experience of working in preventative medicine, occupational health, screening or wellness and lifestyle environments - An interest in laboratory medicine and the application of science to the diagnostic process - Evidence of CPD, including up-to-date knowledge of current guidelines especially regarding preventative medicine and lifestyle influences - Knowledge regarding the interpretation of lab test results (training will be given on novel tests) Webrecruit Ireland and our clients are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
