Overview

We are recruiting an Engineering Manager in Stoke on Trent approx. 18-month Fixed Term Contract. You will provide an effective maintenance programme for the buildings, plant and services on a shift basis to ensure minimum plant downtime in compliance with the approved site procedures. We are interested in speaking to Engineering Managers with the following; •Degree qualified Electrical / Mechanical Engineer •NEBOSH Certificate & IOSH Managing Safely or other safety accreditation. •Understanding of the compliance requirements of applicable UK Major Accident Hazard legislation, including Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) 2015. Experience preferable. •Knowledge and experience in the maintenance of systems including mechanical, gas, electrical, instrumentation and control systems. •Experience in the management of process safety at plant level including, Management of Change and participation in Process Hazard Analysis & Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews. •Project planning & management experience. •Leadership experience of multi skilled maintenance teams is essential •Knowledge / experience of working with chemical processes in a similar environment is essential in order to fully carry out process improvements and to operate safe working practices. •Knowledge / experience with regards to kiln operation and proficiency in both combustion processes and burner technology. •An open- minded flexible attitude to meeting the requirements of the business in a safe manner. •Recognises change / deviations from planned activities and is able to effectively stop, communicate and re-plan activities in a well-managed manner. •An effective negotiator and able to establish strong partnerships with suppliers and hold them to account.
