IT Systems Administrator - South West
Overview
To provide IT and telephony support to users based at our sites in London, Guildford and Camberley as well as other remote sites when required. International travel may be required from time to time. Respond to Helpdesk queries and classifying and prioritising tickets. Ensure all IT equipment complies with both industry standards and Eurofins IT policies. Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords in Active Directory. Manage email, anti-spam and virus protection. Analyse and resolve faults—from major system crashes to forgotten passwords and to provide direct technical support for all IT Infrastructure related issues (hardware and software). Support includes: configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading of new and existing desktops (PC’s), laptops, tablets, mobile phones, peripheral equipment, switches, firewalls, routers, virtual machines, network connectivity, network printing, servers running Windows/Linux operating systems and any other hardware/software issues. Provide data for regulatory compliance from Active Directory or support systems upon request. VMware infrastructure management. Management of Office365 productivity environment. Log, track and resolve incoming incidents and service requests from end users and clients via telephone, portal and email ensuring that SLAs are met. Provide support using remote connection tools and where remote fixes are not possible, provide desk-side assistance at a suitable time. Administration of Data Storage and backups. Assist in the Total Quality Improvement of the Department. Implement and maintain security roles and permissions within the organisation. License management and renewal. Define and Document operating procedures and workflows. Manage and restore backups, archiving. Good experience with Cloud technologies / AWS service offering. Qualifications In depth knowledge and experience of supporting Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 10 Pro. Strong hardware support skills, including maintenance of PC’s, printers and other associated equipment. Experience of basic Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/2016 administration, including AD user creation, password administration etc. Microsoft Exchange/Outlook client. Strong Microsoft Office support skills. A, Server or similar accreditation. Additional information Please note that this role may require some on-call duties and you may be required to work outside of standard office hours. This role is to be home and office based, with regular travel around the South West of England.
