We are currently looking for Software Developer C++ to join our small feature team based in Dartford, Kent to be responsible for designing, developing new features as well as carrying out bug fixes to the portfolio of software used in our lighting control solution. You will be involved in every phase of the software development lifecycle, working in an agile way, using SCRUM and KANBAN practices whilst participating and contributing to all the agile ceremonies. Our long-term vision for this role will be to learn and adapt AWS based cloud development and contribute to our Lighting intelligence platform as well as to the lighting control solution. Requirements You have; Experience in software development in a commercial environment for a minimum of six years Software development in both windows and Linux platforms (preferably Yocto distro) At least 2 years of network (IP) software development A minimum of 1 years experience in creating unit tests using google test framework Experience in working through all the software development lifecycle A working knowledge of tools such as or similar to, Jira, Git, Confluence etc. You are; Analytically minded Strong on attention to detail Able to work well in a team and individually Experienced in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test cases and test plans An excellent communicator both written and verbal Flexible with a Can Do attitude Interested in Lighting products Package Includes Competitive salary Private healthcare Cash medical scheme Annual bonus scheme 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Pension scheme Cycle 2 Work scheme plus more Shortlisting and interviews Helvar are an equal opportunities employer and we are committed to ensuring all applications are treated fairly.
