Overview

Position: MI Analyst Reports to: Head of Product Risk Location: Warrington, UK Our client is the market leading provider of working capital finance for companies globally. Our client is an active and established investor in a wide variety of assets, ranging from US$10m to US$4bn in size, utilizing its balance sheet as well as that of its subsidiary bank based in Germany. As well as holding assets, the team actively distributes assets to a wide range of investors including banks and institutional investors, in turn creating a wide range of credit appetite for its deals. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a highly dynamic, flat and entrepreneurial environment. You will have the ability to think on your feet and act independently but know when to ask questions and seek guidance. You will have an understanding of Credit Risk and MI systems and methodologies. The candidate will be able to visualise data feeds and data mapping to enable concise but effective reporting. The role is to take Risk MI to the next level, including enhancing on current reporting, but also implementing new reports that may be necessary. These reports will be viewed by the Chief Risk Officer. The role includes liaison with mostly the Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence teams, but also report validation with the Credit & Risk team. Key job activities: You will enhance on the existing reporting to the CRO by assisting the digitising of data; Gather requirements from the CRO and other senior Risk Leaders on new reports; Work with DWH & BI teams to develop the reports; Roll out to Credit & Risk team; Drive self-serve mentality with regards to BI. Qualifications: Degree level education Business or Finance subjects preferred. Skills: Strong data and analytics capability; Comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders; Technically strong using excel and PowerPoint to create reports; Capable of multitasking and flexible when priorities shift; Continuous improvement mind-set, challenges the status quo and seeks self-improvement; Visualisation of end-product / report; Understanding of Tableau preferred. Competencies: Able to build productive working relationships with DWH, BI and other functions; Able to quickly understand of business process; Ability to join the dots and be pro-active rather than reactive; Outstanding writing and visual communication skills with the ability to convey information to all levels of personnel within the organisation; Ability to work in a multicultural environment and across multiple time zones; Strong desire and ability to learn new skills; Achieving (results focussed, takes initiatives, concern for excellence); and Drive and desire to contribute as part of a successful team and cope with rapid business growth. Experience: Minimum three years relevant experience of working within a Reporting environment within a large or challenger bank, financial institution or regulated fintech.
