Company Secretarial Assistant- Graduate Trainee COMPANY SECRETARIAL ASSISTANT - (GRADUATE TRAINEE) Slough Competitive Salary This is an extraordinary opportunity for anyone who wishes to pursue a career as a Professional Company Secretary, to be trained and mentored by a qualified Company Secretary and Corporate Governance Professional. Purpose of role You will receive training to become the key departmental administrator delivering a range of corporate secretarial services to a multitude of the firm's clients, based in the United Kingdom and elsewhere in the world, under the guidance and mentorship of the Company Secretary. You will receive training to develop your technical and practical knowledge and capability in respect of company secretarial work in order to maximise the support you are able to provide to the department and internal and external stakeholders. You will have the ambition of becoming a qualified Company Secretary and will be expected to commit to studying towards and completing the ICSA Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme. Education And Qualifications A university degree with law, finance or governance subjects, being advantageous; or A student registered with ICSA and having commenced the ICSA Chartered Governance Qualifying Programme or have successfully completed the ICSA Foundation Programme Experience, Knowledge and Capabilities No experience or knowledge relating to company secretarial work is required but the candidate should have a level of competence in regard to the following capabilities: Good levels of numeracy and literacy Excellent attention to detail, organisational and planning skills with a focus on outcomes A calm and professional attitude and manner with the ability to use your own initiative A good communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills Quick learner who is keen to develop Resilient and able to work under pressure managing numerous tasks to meet competing deadlines Commitment to quality, internal and external customer service delivery Commitment to working with and supporting colleagues, working as part of a team to achieve shared goals Organised and able to implement and follow processes Ability to organise work that may include a diverse range of issues and tasks. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Financial Services Administrative Key Responsibilities Attending to corporate secretarial tasks including the incorporation of companies, Companies House filings, director appointment and resignations, share issues and transfers, changes of registered office address, lodging of dormant accounts Maintain companies' statutory registers Prepare and circulate board and shareholder minutes and resolutions as well as standard form Articles of Association and related documentation Monitor all CoSec inbox e mail communication and oversee all internal and external follow ups Assist the Company Secretary to develop or acquire a CRM system for internal and external client follow ups and workflow tracking Develop a firm understanding of the cosec computer programme for Companies House filings and maintaining company registers Work with the internal compliance team to implement anti money laundering and Know Your Client processes and procedures General Departmental administration duties Help the Company Secretary to document and record all key company secretarial procedures and activities Assist the Company Secretary to develop company secretarial and governance services to deliver to dedicated external cosec clients Assist the Company Secretary to raise the profile of the Company Secretarial team across the firm through proactive value added and efficient service delivery to internal and external clients
