Overview
I am currently recruiting or my client based Wrexham. There is the need to bring onboard a permanent accounts assistant to join the finance team. This is a great company with plenty of benefits and they certainly look after their staff. Study support can be offered for the right candidate along with extra support and training. Accountants Assistant The successful applicant would work in a small finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager. Qualifications / Skills Candidates should have good communication skills, keen attention to detail, be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team and prioritise workloads. They should have experience in the duties listed below and be able to use the reporting packages. Professional part qualification or AAT an advantage. Main Duties to include: Bank reconciliations Reconciliation & Matching of Accrual Accounts VAT / EC Sales / Intrastat reporting in UK and across Europe Master data set up Inter Company Reconciliations Supplier Statement Reconciliations Balance Sheet Reconciliations Other Management information as required To provide support / cover for other team members in the following areas: Calculation and reporting of invoice discounting Weekly cash flow forecasting and reporting Foreign currency contact drawdown and reporting and entering on system Debtor collection, payment allocation, credit limit enforcement Credit Insurance sales reporting Checking and batching payments for authorisation Master Data Maintenance & Data Uploads Maintaining updating of written procedures Hours 37.5 hours a week 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday (half an hour lunch break) 8am to 4pm Friday (half an hour lunch break) Salary & Benefits: Salary - £21,000 pa Holidays - 20 plus bank holidays Pension - We offer a pension under autoenrollment - 4% employer contribution with 4% employee contribution. The autoenrollment takes place after 3 months to coincide with end of a successful probation period. Banked hours scheme - up to 7.5 hrs can be banked every 2 months, subject to Line manager's permission Additional Benefits - Currently we have a points scheme that are awarded with length of service (after 5 years) that can be turned into additional holiday / pension points Study Package - this would be considered for relevant courses for course fees, study would be completed in employees own time If you feel you have the necessary skills and are keen to find out more please apply to be considered for the shortlist.
