Overview

Opportunity is around the corner as Pertemps are currently recruiting for CE / HGV 1 Drivers to drive Wagon and Drag units on behalf of our well established client based in Scunthorpe. The work will involve: Delivering building material across the country Interacting with the load to ensure the safe delivery of goods Completing of paperwork Occasionally staying out overnight depending on the distance of the job Some manual handling, although this is limited The ideal CE / HGV 1 Driver will be: Experienced CE / HGV 1 Driver with knowledge of Wagon and Drag work Knowledgeable in local geography and UK road networks Have a good understanding of the working time directive Flexible in working shift patterns Over 23 years of age (this is for insurance purposes) You will be required to start between 04.00 - 06.00 each day Monday to Friday and will be guaranteed 8 hours per shift. 2-4 nights out are required. You must be available to start ASAP. In return, the HGV Class 2 Drivers will receive an hourly rate of £10.50ph with a minimum of 8 hours paid per shift. Enhanced rates are available when paid as an LTD company or through an approved umbrella company of £12.50ph. This rate increases further after 12 weeks plus overtime and bonuses. This is a temporary to permanent agency role that may become permanent for the right candidate.
