An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Bridgeway Site Investigation Team as a Site Investigation Engineer. As a Site Investigation Engineer you will be reporting to the Principal Engineer/Technical Manager/Relevant Project Manager, the Site Investigation Engineer is responsible for supporting in the organization, co-ordination and delivery of investigations works. The Engineer allocates and reports upon weekly resources required to the relevant Project Manager, ensuring that the team’s is able to deliver against client and contractual demands. Key responsibilities: o Ensure that all nominated persons that are appointed for all jobs are competent to undertake them o Technical Standards of all jobs o Health and safety of all investigation staff o Ensure that the ground/structural investigations operatives carries out regular safety inspections of projects as detailed in the general arrangements for health and safety and auditing and monitoring systems o Assist in the continuous review of applicable and possibly applicable legal, statutory, regulatory and advisory standards and client requests for changes or likely changes. Advising the Project Manager/PM of any amendments to the safety and quality systems necessary to implement those changes or to improve performance o Responsible for successful delivery of all physical works projects o Responsible for compliance with CDM regulations (where applicable) Qualifications: o Degree level education in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology o 7 Years industry experience ideally with some rail although not essential as full training will be given o Excellent working knowledge of EC7 and BS5930 Candidates must hold a full UK Driving Licence.
