Patient Liaison Coordinator - Cochlear Implants Audiologist Required National Role Circa £40,000 Basic Salary Bonus Car Benefits Job Description My client, a global market leading manufacturer of Cochlear Implants are searching for a clinically focused Audiologist that is looking to truly transcend their Audiological career This is a pivotal role for my client; directly linked to their growth strategy, the position offers an interesting combination of patient interaction coupled with a key focus on professional healthcare/education training. The Patient Liaison Coordinator will provide support to UK CI & BA development efforts by spending 75% of their time supporting the BAHA and CI teams in influencing potential CI & BA patients to choose my clients products and for 25% of time setting up and running the UK BAHA Academy. Patient Focused 75% time They will have regular and direct access to patients and their families by completing the following duties: Attending patient events Supporting BAHA and CI Area Managers in running regional patient events Collecting patient information Communicating information on my client’s products and services to CI Patients & their families Assisting; UK Clinical and BAHA sales team staff, plus healthcare professionals, in finding ways to improve overall patient care experience. Increasing referrals for my clients CI and BAHA Products into OM implanting Auditory Implant services by; Running Referral Audiology and ENT training Supporting Marketing Executive and Sales Manager BAHA in managing BAHA Advocacy group Supporting Marketing Executive and Clinical Team Leader in setting up CI Advocacy group Supporting sales and clinical teams in finding & recruiting new BAHA & CI Advocates Coaching and Supporting Advocates UK BA Academy 25% Time Aims of the BAHA Academy is to train 20 new BA audiologists over a 12-month period to become BA Audiologists. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Patient Liaison Manager Influencing potential CI & BAHA patients to choose my clients products Develop and implement UK Communication projects focused on the patient experience and device choice. Communicate with patients, families, leaders, and staff members to gather feedback on experiences with and testimonials with my client’s devices. Monitor patient experience data and collaborate with Marketing Executive, Clinical team, sales team and CI Service leaders on actionable improvement plans Evaluating success of initiatives, modifying efforts as indicated. Where approved by hospital take on the role as patient advice advocate and intermediary between family, patient, and the health care team Supporting BAHA & CI Advocates Referral site education- Skills and Qualifications; Good communication skills Good at developing trust Knowledge of medical terminology Strong people skills Attention to detail Problem solving orientation. Essential: - Qualified Audiologist Desirable, but not essential; experience with BA and or CI patients Desirable but not essential; previous patient liaison role experience and/or audiology training and education experience within NHS, private audiology or with a medical company.
