Where do we have Carer & Companion roles available and what do you need? We have roles available in the Worthing, Lancing, Shoreham-by-Sea, Southwick, Hove and Henfield and surrounding areas. Experience is not essential as full training will be provided, just a big heart and a positive personality are required. However, it is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle. Not only do they promote a minimum of 1-hour support, they make sure their carers are perfectly matched to their clients, so you can build a lasting relationship What does the role of a Carer & Companion involve? All their clients’ needs vary as everyone is different. The main part of the role will be checking on their welfare and helping them get through a trying time where they need to socially distance themselves to keep safe. A big part of the role will be providing companionship, helping with domestic duties , preparing meals and help ing with any medication . You will keep doing activities they enjoy at home such as baking, gardening, listening to old records or reminiscing about their memories with a nice cuppa. There may be elements of light personal care involved but this would be no different to what you may do for a friend or relative. If you also think about everything you do daily, you would be supporting someone to do the same. Pay rates, benefits & hours £9.75 per hour (weekdays), and £10.75 per hour (at weekends and after 7pm). Full Time & Part Time (to include evenings and some weekend working) Bank Staff – Hours to tailor the individual’s needs (will also include evenings and some weekend working). Holiday pay & pension.
