Principal Software Engineer, Central London, £90,000 Bonus Shares Remote Working, Travel Comparison Website. This is a great opportunity for a Principal Software Engineer to join a Flight & Hotel comparison site with over 8 million customers globally They're currently looking to add to their current product offering and are looking to build a number of new squads and tribes to work on completely greenfield projects focused on scalability. They have an agnostic approach to tech and use; Node, Python and Java on the backend with AWS, ElasticSearch, Terraform etc and use React as their main Front End language. They're building a team of Software Engineers who are passionate about technology, learning new tools/ skills and want to work in a Clean Code Environment. As the Principal Software Engineer you will be working closely with the Head of Engineering across multiple teams to deliver software solutions to new and existing applications. Experience and skills needed as the Principal Software Engineer: Previous job experience as a software engineer in both Front and Back-End technologies and development. Metrics driven approach to decision making, prioritisation and continuous deployment. Use of methodologies for continuous delivery and improvement. Strong customer focus and a focus on impactful work. You make others better through code reviews, documentation, technical guidance and mentoring. Experience of system deployment to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or similar. You’re excited by modern frontend technologies and frameworks, such as: ES6, Sass/Less, Webpack, npm, React, and HTML, CSS. Experience in some server side scripting technologies, such as: Node.js, Python, Java, .NET.
