Community Support Care Worker Location: Penzance, Cornwall Salary: £8.75ph to £9.90ph Contract: Full and part time permanent contracts available High flexibility in terms of hours available Benefits: Enhanced bank holiday and weekend rates, paid by shift (including mileage), Free Uniform and PPE, On occasion, pool cars are available for work, Ongoing training and support to gain NVQ Care Certificate's or any other relevant qualifications Carers like you are sometimes the only people our service users see and it can make a massive difference to their day-to-day life, even their week when one of our friendly and compassionate carers goes to visit If you have previous experience within a healthcare capacity or similar or are looking for a change of career, you may be just the person we are looking for – being a carer can be a very rewarding role and all training will be provided. Ideal candidate for this role will live in Penzance or surrounding area and be able to work most weekdays and every other weekend. Responsibilities of our Community Support Care Worker: Supporting service users in their day to day living, ensuring they are safe and comfortable as well as supporting their independence as much as possible Helping with toileting, washing, dressing, mealtimes and medication Doing the shopping for them or any other tasks that may be more difficult for them Being a familiar face, someone to make them feel comfortable and safe in their own homes Requirements: Ideal candidate will possess experience in the health & social sector, however not essential as full training will be provided A candidate with a driving license and a car is a requirement, this is a mobile carer role Friendly, trustworthy and caring nature Some flexibility is possible depending on circumstances All applicants will need to provide 2 references and permit an Enhanced DBS check.
