Overview
We have a vacancy for a Practice Nurse/Nurse Practitioner based in a smallish GP surgery in central Northampton. They are looking for a part time Nurse to join their permanent team, they can offer up to 30 hours and consider various working patterns (i.e. work around school run, or other commitments). They can consider any Nurse as long as you can run clinics for Childhood Immunisations and Diabetes Reviews/Checks. They can facilitate extra clinics for the other treatment room skills or/and if you are able to see patients for Minor Illnesses, being able to asses, diagnose and treat them accordingly, then even better As they could use a helping hand with on the day appointments/walk ins and during busy times. GPs will always be on site for assistance, although a certain level of autonomy is required and desired within the post. You will manage your own patient list and have a real passion for patient care. You'll work to high standards, have great attention to detail and a good level of accuracy with record keeping and note taking. Salary will be dependent on your skill set, i.e. if you're working as more of a Practice Nurse or Nurse Practitioner level. For practice nurses you'd be looking at around £17-£20 per hour and as a Nurse Practitioner you'd see £22-£25 per hour.
