Parts Manager

My client are a leading importer and distributor of a range of agricultural machinery based in North Cambridgeshire. Due to planned growth, they are looking to hire an Spares Advisor to work on their busy after market desk alongside the existing team. Ideally from an agricultural or engineering background, this role will be fast paced and require the successful individual to take ownership of a range of parts and spares for a particular product line. Working with the After Sales Manager and other members of the After Sales department, the role will involve all aspects of parts, warehousing/stores duties and spares administration and management. Dealing with Goods in/out, parts stocking, booking parts to customers and service jobs, placing orders with suppliers, taking phone calls and talking to customers about their parts requirements. The candidate will ideally have previous experience of agricultural machinery parts, or knowledge of machinery parts in general. The applicants should be able to work with Microsoft and other Windows based programs. Main duties expected of the candidate include but are not limited to: - Managing a team of 3 parts staff. - Taking calls and talking to customers about their parts requirements for the clients range of machinery. - Booking parts and serving customers at the counter. - Other parts/warehouse duties as required to keep our customers supplied with their requirements. - Placing orders with suppliers and negotiating prices, checking purchase invoices to the received orders. - Managing stock checks bi-annually. - Assisting other members of the aftersales team. The ideal person will have previous experience of agricultural machinery parts, or knowledge of machinery parts in general would be considered for the right applicant. Applicants should have experience and be able to work with Microsoft windows based programs as well as IBCOS Gold software. Ideally you will prior and relevant experience to the role, and have a sound technical knowledge of engineering or agricultural engineering as part of your background.
