Accounts Assistant

The permanent division of Macildowie are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a well known organisation based in Aylesbury. As Accounts Assistant you will receive a salary of between £22,000 - £26,000. The Accounts Assistant will report into the Financial Controller but will have involvement and interaction with other internal stakeholders and business unit owners. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for: - Processing and completing purchase and sales ledger duties including the raising of sales invoices, allocating payments as well as coding, matching and batching purchase invoices - Working alongside the Financial Controller to complete monthly VAT returns - Assisting with Credit Control when required although very much an ad hoc duty - Assisting with the completion of monthly journal entries - Ad hoc involvement with the prepayments and accruals when the Management Accountant requires assistance - Maintenance of the fixed asset register on a monthly basis - Completing monthly intercompany accounting duties - Other ad hoc duties when required To be considered for the role of Accounts Assistant you must: - Be working towards a financial qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA) - Have experience of working within a similar position with exposure to purchase and sales ledger duties - Have a strong desire to work as part of a successful team - Be a good communicator through both written and verbal methods Salary and Benefits As Accounts Assistant in Aylesbury you will receive a salary of between £22,000 - £26,000 The Company The organisation are a well known brand based in Aylesbury who are experiencing a strong period of growth and upturn in revenues.
