Overview
Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Technician for their IT Service Delivery team. You will be responsible for helping support all services including applications, systems, hardware and customers. This is a 1 year fixed term contract divisional role based at our head office near Leominster, Herefordshire, however you must be prepared to travel to remote sites world-wide as the need arises and have a full UK driving license. You will take responsibility for escalated and major incidents, and the coordination of appropriate and timely responses, including channeling requests to other resolver teams including 3rd parties. You will ensure that all tickets are handled according to procedures and provide detailed documentation and guidance to all users in the effective use of systems and products. You will be able to identify and implement workarounds where required to include hardware and software fixes. You will have the ability to work collaboratively and independently, be able to handle difficult and demanding customers, work under pressure to achieve results, and analyse and solve problems. Experience of working in a similar role, with an ITIL Foundation certificate and IT related qualifications are essential. Certifications in Microsoft technologies will be an advantage. An understanding of VM ware, WAN and LAN environments, MPLS and VPN fundamentals, unified communications, mobile technologies and Microsoft Active directory will be beneficial.
