Assistant Financial Accountant - to £25,000 per annum with study support - Smethwick This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join a traditional long-established engineering business in the automotive sector who will be going through a sustained period of growth. The Role The role of Assistant Financial Accountant will be split between the activities of the group and a small stand alone company, both based on the same site. Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, your duties will include: All balance sheet reconciliations Preparation of journals Accruals and prepayments Cash flow reporting Monthly reporting for two small non-core divisions and the non group company Intrastat/VAT/EC sales listing Assisting the Group Financial Controller and providing cover for the divisional controller on site Payroll cover Assisting stock take compilation Raise electronic payments The Candidate The successful Assistant Financial Accountant will need a strong base in financial accounting processes, with experience in double entry bookkeeping and have an advanced knowledge of excel VLOOKUP and pivot tables. You will ideally be part qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent or have completed your AAT. You will receive a salary up to £25,000 per annum with study support as your on-going progression is important to the business.
