Speech and Language Therapist (Grade 5) St Elizabeth’s Centre is a specialist Centre providing holistic care together with learning, leisure and other opportunities for adults and children with severe epilepsy, learning difficulties and complex health needs. About the role: We are looking for a motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our busy multi-disciplinary therapy team. You will work closely with colleagues of all disciplines to further develop the provision of Speech and Language Therapy and be responsible for providing clinical assessment, reports, therapy programmes, advice and training as an integrated resource across the Centre. Working with the team you’ll take a holistic approach to our complex service users improving their quality of life by promoting their well-being and self-advocacy. You’ll be managing, training and developing our Therapy Assistants and other members of the team so experience of working in a multidisciplinary team supporting and supervising others is essential. About you: You’ll be a positive person who possess excellent general professional skills and have experience within a range of clinical settings with adults / children who have complex and physical needs. For this role its essential you have experience of dealing with communication and dysphagia difficulties and have knowledge of specialist equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree, are HCPC registered and a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
