English and Maths Teacher required for low functioning Students with ASD - Totton Salary/ Rate: £100-£180 per day depending on experience Prospero Teaching are looking to appoint an English and Maths Teacher to work in a SEN school based in the Totton area. The school is a specifically designed learning environment for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. This nurturing environment and high ratio of teaching staff provides autistic pupils with the opportunity to develop their academic ability, social and communication skills. The role will start as soon as possible on a temp to perm basis. They are looking for an experienced and patient Maths Teacher to work on a 1:1 basis with their students. The school and its faculty are warm, welcoming and supportive, encouraging only the best out of their students and staff members. The School are looking at taking on either an unqualified or fully qualified Maths Teacher for this role. The ideal candidate will be able to implement strong behaviour management strategies whilst adhering to school policies. Previous teaching experience is essential. CONTRACT DETAILS Location - Totton Position – ASD English and Maths Teacher Type of work - Teaching Contract or position start date – ASAP Duration / Likely Duration - Temporary to Permanent Contract or position end date (if applicable) - N/A Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temp to perm Full time/part time – Full time Minimum rate of pay - £100-£180 (depending on experience) Hours - 8:15 am – 4:00pm, plus parents evenings EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS NQT/QTS or equivalent Minimum 1 year music teaching experience in the UK (Desirable) Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related reference OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
