Overview
Are you a night shift engineer looking for your next opportunity within the FMCG sector? I have an outstanding opportunity within a medium sized food manufacturing business supplying unique products to the food service and retail sectors and a number of big name suppliers. They have recently been taken over by a larger corporation becoming part of a global manufacturer and supplier of chilled and frozen food products. We are looking for a night shift maintenance engineer following £3m worth of investment as well as investment in new machinery. SHIFT: Sun - Thurs (10pm - 6am) SALARY: £33,500 DESCRIPTION The successful candidate will have experience of working on production lines or with machinery in a manufacturing environment. This will include mechanical fitting, repairing and planned and unplanned maintenance. Mechanical engineering experience is essential and some electrical knowledge is advantageous. Experience within the food manufacturing sector would be helpful. Ideally you will have a qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering although this is not essential if your experience is right for the role. You will have good technical problem solving abilities, be planned and organised, be able to make prompt and clear decisions and want to do a good job. As you will be part of the night shift production team, you will be able to communicate well with others and have an ability to cope with pressures and setbacks.
