S Cartwright & Sons (Coachbuilders) Limited are a well-established coachbuilder/trailer manufacturer and supplier to the UK and International markets. We manufacture a wide range of trailers from curtainsiders, double-deck and refrigerated units as well as more bespoke, custom built options for our customers. Cartwright Fleet Services (CFS) has developed from our parent company and provides a range of options for our network of customers across the UK. This technical manufacturing and engineering expertise, combined with the logistics and operations experience of our key personnel, gives us an edge on other fleet management providers and ensures we maintain the highest level of service and quality to our customers. Due to continued growth and expansion, CFS now have requirements for several HGV/Trailer Technicians to service a number of customers across the North West, notably Manchester and Liverpool. In the role you will be responsible for day to day servicing and repair of a fleet of vehicles, whilst based on site at one of our key customers and on occasion supporting other clients in the local region. You will be at the forefront in delivering excellent service to our customers and keeping their fleet compliant and roadworthy. Responsibilities Carry out all maintenance on site for LGV assets (including servicing and routine repairs) Plan daily workload to ensure fully productive Ideally you will be skilled in trailer servicing and repair Deck and tail lift knowledge (preferred) Complete all paperwork required via the personal tablet daily Ensure correct levels of stock are maintained on service van Demonstrate an ability to work with and assist other staff members as part of a team, and to take the initiative if/when a decision needs to be taken in the absence of management. High levels of communication with internal planning functions and management Carry out any other reasonable requirements as the business requests Requirements Previous experience in a HGV/Trailer maintenance role, ideally working with Deck and/or Tail lifts. Be a skilled hands-on technician/fitter Full knowledge and understanding of LOLER regulations along with other HGV industry related guidelines Conscientious Flexible in order to meet customer needs Customer focussed An excellent communicator at all levels Valid UK driving licence holder Rewards & Benefits The Cartwright Group acknowledges that our people are central to our ongoing success.
