A contract opening for a Data profile for a large public sector client based in Leeds, West Yorkshire Data Manager: SQL & Python Duration: To end of September 2020 initially IR35: In scope Location: Leeds city centre Umbrella Rate: £217.35 per day or PAYE Rate: £194.02 per day Our client is a very large Public Sector organisation based in Leeds city centre. We have a large transformation programme - Data Collection and appropriation moving on-prem to Cloud. There are security factors and data factors with this role. Sought: Experience with very large datasets Evidence of being an expert in building the most appropriate database and process design, developing code using industry standard data management tools, in this case Databricks (on AWS). Evidence of expertise in developing code using established coding languages, specifically Python and ANSI SQL. Evidence of the successful use of agile delivery approach. Evidence of ability to build data products that are fully automated, can be re-used, extended and deployed as "production quality" services. Evidence of ability to collaborate with others to build the whole data processing pipeline - from data extract through to finished data products (which could include final extracts, indicators and publication content). Evidence of ability to work against a specification to develop automated and repeatable processes, but equally comfortable to question where specification is ambiguous. Desirable skills Experience of working in health care delivery context.
