Overview

Our client provides short-term supported accommodation for care leavers and vulnerable young people between the ages of 16-25 years, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The service aims to develop the life skills of young people, encouraging access to education and training, and developing their capacity to live independently. We are currently seeking Support Advisors to deliver an excellent standard of support and housing management to young people. You will complete outcome-focussed support plans and risk assessments for young people in the service. Through the provision of regular support, you will inspire residents to engage with education, training and employment opportunities. You will deliver group sessions to increase life skills for all residents including cooking, budgeting, health and well-being. The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people in a community setting or supported housing. You will be required to work a shift pattern which will include 1 weekend in 4 over a 3 (part time 21 hours) and 5-day week (full time 37 hours). This post requires an essential enhanced DBS check and a valid driving licence and transport to cover a small geographical service area, mileage allowance will be payable.
