Overview
Butler Rose is working on an exclusive basis to recruit a Financial Controller for a manufacturing business in the Plymouth area. Reporting into the Finance Director, this role will take responsibility for running the finance function and will lead the company's financial reporting and control activities. Key responsibilities will include: Daily, monthly and annual reporting for both UK companies and overseas branches Analyse and explain results and variances, including sales, factory performance and overheads Compile data for annual budgeting process and lead on quarterly forecasts Implement and oversee internal controls Assist and advise other departmental managers in understanding and controlling financial data Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors Deputise for the Finance Director as required The successful candidate will be a formally qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with experience of working at a managerial level. Strong organisational details and the ability to communicate with people at all levels are essential. Experience within manufacturing is also highly desirable.
