Overview
We are seeking caring and talented individuals who will make a difference to the lives of the residents we care for at Renaissance at Cowdray Club. Cowdray Club is located in a beautifully appointed nineteenth century building in the exclusive Fonthill area of Aberdeen. The home is close to the town centre and just 10 minutes’ walk from Duthie Park. As Deputy Manager You will be expected to assist in managing the Home’s operation in order to meet, or exceed targets whilst ensuring high quality care is delivered. You will be responsible for the management of staff in the care home & expected to take over full management in the absence of the Home Manager. Your key responsibilities will be Leading the shift to ensure delivery of excellent care and nursing standards Planning, implementing and evaluating the care given to residents Auditing, reviewing and updating care plans Helping train and supervise care staff in all aspects of their work through direct teaching and by example Ensuring residents care plans and daily records are maintained for each resident, which reflect the implementation of planned care Promoting good liaison with the relatives of residents and outside agencies Assisting the Home Manager with pre-admission assessments Helping to ensure that each resident is receiving appropriate, meaningful social activities Being aware of and observing the Company’s policies regarding accidents and incidents and ensuring that all staff do likewise The successful applicant will A qualified Registered Nurse (RGN/RMHN/RNLD) with current NMC registration Have a minimum of one year’s experience in a similar role Demonstrate good time management and excellent written/verbal communication skills Able to lead and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team Committed to providing high quality care Compassionate, personable and committed to providing high quality, person-centred care Confident in the specific nursing skills required for your position and training As well as a competitive salary and guaranteed hours, the successful candidate will also receive the following employee benefits: Generous holiday entitlement Paid PVG check Free uniform & PPE 'Refer a Friend' Bonus Scheme Rewards & Recognition Programme Free learning and development Annual Care Awards Opportunities for career progression Continuous training and improvement to help you achieve your goals Free Employee Assistance Programme offering additional support for all our employees, helping you achieve a happy work/life balance
