Overview
We are currently recruiting for an Inclusion & Diversity Advisor for the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service Location: Kelvedon Type: Temporary Position Main Duties & Responsibilities: Provide specialist advice, supporting the service in the development, delivery and monitoring of our inclusion and diversity guidance Support the Inclusions and Diversity Business Partner in developing and implementing governance, monitoring, performance measurement and reporting arrangements to facilitate the effective scrutiny of progress our objectives. Work with colleagues to launch entry pathways into ECFRS (Essex County Fire Rescue Service) including work experience and internship Develop our guidance,training and coaching in regard to neurodiversity, reasonable adjustments, gender identity and gender pay gap. Provide professional advice to managers to support them in building a culture of equality and diversity and realising the equality objectives contained within the service strategy. Positively contribute to a safe work environment ensuring compliance with health & safety, risk management, business continuity and safeguarding policy and procedure. Protect all personal information in adherence with the data protection act 1998. Knowledge & Experience: Experience of working successfully in an equality and diversity role, proving advice and guidance at all levels. In-depth understanding of current legislation and best practice in equality and diversity. Experience of monitoring, reviewing and developing policies and working practices successfully in relation to equality and diversity. Ability to present complex issues clearly and simply in writing and orally. Drive, enthusiasm and a strong personal commitment to equality and diversity.
