Overview
The opportunity… This company is a leading UK retailer headquartered in Trafford Park, Manchester. They've been in the market for over 25 years and have over 200 stores throughout the UK, plus an online presence - which is where this role comes in. Right now they are expanding their tech capabilities and are recruiting a Test Analyst to join their Product & UX team. This is a brand new position and presents an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the Test space for the team. They work in a collaborative, Agile environment and the role will frequently interact with Developers, Designers and others in the business. The current focus is to enhance their digital offerings for customers and they are looking for a talented Tester who can professionalise their Test processes. Your responsibilities will include: Creating test functionality, building and running test scripts Analysing the current Test processes and making recommendations for improvement Sharing knowledge and making suggestions on automation frameworks Working closely with Dev team and contributing to research and design process Being innovative and thinking of new ways to improve customer offerings What you'll bring to the role… We're open to considering different levels of experience within the following areas: Commercial experience testing software, creating and running test scripts, preferably from within an e-commerce / retail organisation Experience with cross-browser and automated testing Strong communication skills and the ability to work with people at different levels across the business Experience with online payment tools i.e. PayPal, ClearPay, Klarna is desirable Experience with analytics tools i.e. Google Analytics, Hot Jar is desirable Coding experience i.e. CSS, HTML would be beneficial On top of the tech stuff we're looking for someone who is able to work effectively with the team, is passionate about building great software, and takes an innovative approach to their work.
