Overview
Temporary Assistant Accountant - 3-6 months - Port Talbot Role Accounts Payable supplier invoice processing Supplier queries In-house queries liaising with warehouse and purchasing Processing service invoice approvals Supporting month-end processes Accounts Receivable processing Invoicing - portals, milestones, etc. Credit control - statements, chasing Reconciliations Ensure all product costs are up to date Monitor accuracy of costing data using variance analysis techniques Develop variance analysis Audit accuracy of Bill of Materials Project Costing Monitor and report costs for major projects. Develop process and procedures for monitoring project costs. Inventory & Costing Reconcile and develop stock control accounts Maintain inventory records ensuring accurate book v actual balances. Supporting accounting administration tasks as and when necessary Process all transactions relating to cost of goods and inventory movements Reconcile all movements affecting Cost of Goods. Produce month end Management Reports for Manufacturing Operations. Profile Considerable experience of working in a manufacturing environment AAT qualified or working towards Experience of handling a large purchase ledger with time constraints. Experience of ERP systems would be an advantage. Payroll experience desirable Excellent attention to detail. Must be organized, professional and able to work well with others. Ability to work efficiently and accurately. Salary & Benefits £25,000 per annum The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
