Overview

Our prestigious and highly professional client is seeking to recruit a Spa Therapist to join their friendly and knowledgeable team close to Haywards Heath. 37.5 hours per week. To include some evening and weekends. Due to workplace location your own transport is essential. Function of the post: To provide high standards of professionalism and customer care within the Spa environment, promoting retail products alongside providing treatments. Principal Accountabilities Operational Carry out consultations with guests as required, giving correct advice and promoting treatments, whilst completing the appropriate consultation forms and medical questionnaires. To deliver effective, enjoyable therapies to the required standard as detailed in the Therapists Manual, ensuring the specified treatment time is adhered to, and assist the Spa Treatment Manager in maintaining those standards. Ensure up to date and relevant knowledge of the Spa and brands and recommend and advise on skin care and appropriate treatments. Ensure each client receives the highest possible standard of care and attention at all times and encouraging them to return. To have knowledge of who to contact for all different maintenance and repair works to plant and equipment in the spa in the absence of the Spa Treatment Manager or Senior Therapist. Ensure all areas are kept clean and tidy at all times and you adhere to the house keeping guidelines. Liaise closely with the receptionist daily, to ensure smooth running of your appointments. To ensure equipment, lights, air conditioning, are turned off in treatment rooms at the end of the day and all rooms are secure and keys returned to Spa Reception. Ensure all equipment is fully operational and report any defects to the Spa Manage, Spa Treatment Manager or Senior Therapist. To comply with standards of appearance and dress at all times when on duty. Always be punctual, arriving at the salon prepared and ready for work, and remain in the Spa during working hours. To work as a Team Member, by assisting other Team Members wherever possible as well as working on your own initiative. To ensure that you carry out your duties to the best interest of the company at all times, in line with Group policy and procedure and any statutory guidance in place. And always endeavour to ensure that all guests are completely satisfied with the service and the product. Financial and Stock Responsibilities To ensure all bills and receipts are correctly recorded following a treatment and handed to the receptionist for billing to the client in accordance with the billing procedures as set out in the Operating Manual. Ensure all salon stock is clean and secured each day and cupboards are replenished as required ready for the next therapist. Sales and Marketing Attend PR functions, open evenings and special promotional activity within the Spa or other venue. Recommend and advise on skin care and appropriate treatments. Assist the receptionist with treatment explanations where necessary. Consistently achieve and exceed retail sales targets through personal prescriptions and consultations. Administration and training Ensure all administrative procedures are carried out as instructed, including holiday forms and sickness forms and ensuring they are filed in the appropriate place. Attend Spa meetings as required and attend any appropriate training courses. Health and Safety To ensure, along with the whole Spa team and as far as practicably possible, that the Spa is always complying with the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and its subordinate legislation and as stated in the Company’s Health & Safety Statement of Intent. To have full regard to and support the Health & Safety policies and to ensure adequate care and protection is taken for the safety of colleagues and guests.
