Cleaning Operations Manager (Site Based) Location: MediaCityUK Salary: £33,000 pa Hours: 42.5 hours per week to meet the needs of the business, this will include weekend work during the summer events, during this time days off will be taken in the week. We are now actively looking to recruit a Cleaning Operations Manager with responsibilities for delivering the cleaning services at the prestigious MediaCityUK estate. What’s the job? To understand client’s goals and deliver outstanding service standards across the estate. To manage the cleaning operation whilst leading and motivating your staff and supervisors. To operate consistently within Client and Company policy and add value within budgetary parameters and consistently providing excellent customer service. What are my responsibilities? Win your customers over Motivate your staff and supervisors Meet and where possible, exceed client expectations whilst operating within agreed budgets Recruit, induct and train suitable staff ensuring compliance with vetting procedures Maintain numbers of staff at the agreed levels to maintain contract standards Control wage spend in line with agreed budgets set by the Commercial Director Monitor client satisfaction and service delivery on a monthly basis, through client meetings, monthly reports and regular audits. Carry out random and pre-planned audits including compliance and quality on a monthly basis. To deliver strategies to reduce staff turnover to include induction programme, training, feedback, performance management and personal coaching To oversee the site based training matrix for all personal to ensure training is delivered. To work with the HSQE Manager to ensure the health and safety of all employees and members of the public. Ensure that site documentation is maintained and correct Ensure products, equipment and materials are properly stored, used, maintained and controlled and fall in line with agreed budget Ensure all administration is undertaken to provide the Company and the Client with the information they require to given deadlines Ensure that all Company personnel obey all site rules and maintain a smart appearance, including the wearing of Company uniforms The Role The position will be based at MediaCityUK in Salford where you will be responsible for the day to day management of up to 45 cleaning operatives. You will work closely with a dedicated Account Director who is responsible for the delivery of the cleaning services across the contract. Due to the nature of the cleaning service and the demands of the job role you will be required to show flexibility with working hours to enable you to capture all aspects of the clean. Whilst the core hours will be normal business hours your role will involve varied start and finish times as directed by the Account Director to enable you to effectively manage the service. Skills and Experience Experience in the operational management/ supervision of cleaning services contracts. Ability to work independently unsupervised and take responsibility. Excellent people management skills Be an approachable man manager with a reasonable knowledge of Employee Relations. Be committed to the training and development of site based staff, to enhance service delivery. Good motivational and people management skills. Good interpersonal skills and an ability to establish credibility quickly Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills Possess good IT literacy skills and be able to comfortably interact with web-based reporting and accountability platforms. Display excellent organisation skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and workloads.
