Overview

The Company: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a QC Manager to join the rapidly expanding fast fashion brand. On a day to day basis you will be managing the QC team including Fit Model, Junior Garment Technologist, QC Admin as well as supervising 2 members of the QC team in the off-site warehouse, a Leicester based QC & an Italian based QC. You will be monitoring returns rates daily to ensure issues are addressed immediately & best course of action is advised. Liaising with the warehouse to discuss any technical & quality issues that may arise. Managing the off-site QC’s to monitor incoming production. This role will be a 12-14 month contract. The Role: Monthly reports to the directors Weekly checks of the bestselling style returns percentages & initiating relevant qc investigations. Daily checks of returns reason codes & actioning QC checks where appropriate. Managing fit session timetable, ensuring the fit comments are clear, concise & ensure the relationship between QC team & suppliers is upheld. Liaising with junior members of the team with regards ideas and changes that can be made to improve the garment. Training & educating to increase the knowledge & understanding of the team. Arranging production, pre-production QC checks and grading garments Ensure that the garments are being produced to the required quality standard. Promoting quality and performance improvement Working on projects to reduce the overall returns % Supplier rating assessments, supplier evaluations & meetings Regular visits to the warehouse, checking in with the QC & Good In teams to discuss any issues. Meetings with suppliers to discuss any issues & ensure relationships are maintained. Discuss comments & issues with suppliers Liaise directly with the buyers, merchandisers & directors to relay any technical &/or quality issues and discuss resolutions. Manage communication between internal teams, QC team members and suppliers Communicating daily with the warehouse. Skills Required: With min 5 year’s relevant experience Experience with a fast fashion brand is preferred Must have worked in a similar role. Knowledge of garment construction and garment fitting Knowledge of fashion manufacturing, fabrics & lay plans Highly competent IT skills, including excel, google photos & sheets would be an advantage. Confident communication skills, the ability to work to critical path deadlines. Ability to manage own workload and as a team player. Salary dependant on experience.
