Overview
We're looking for several Production Operator to work at a busy forestry manufacturing site based in Dalbeattie. This is a temporary, ongoing position with permanent employment offered to suitable candidates. Roles and Responsibilities: You will be responsible for operating sawmilling machinery to manual handling of timber. Your role may vary according to meet the demands of the business but having a keen eye for detail and working safely, to high quality standards is essential. Our client is looking for enthusiastic and driven individuals to meet the needs of the business. You will be working closely with the rest of the team to meet customer needs on a daily basis. Pay rate: £8.99 per hour plus shift allowance and premium overtime. Key requirements: Due to the remote location all applicants must have a full UK driving licence. Experience working in a sawmill, forestry site or similar position is preferred but is not necessary as full training will be provided for both machine operatives and telehandler driver positions. You should have good hand-eye co-ordination and be health and safety conscious. You should be quality focused and have good problem solving skills, with the ability to take direction. You should be interested in the timber you are producing and understand the value and quality of the product you are handling Applicants must be dependable with a proven track record.
