Quality Technician

The Role Reporting to the Quality and Operations Manager, you will work within Quality department to perform key Quality Assurance and Control functions to deliver and maintain both customer and supplier quality requirements. You will also help to ensure all measuring instrumentation are periodically calibrated within their required frequency intervals. As part of your role, your key responsibilities / duties will include: A working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 & able to assist in external audits from the accrediting body The day to day use of Coordinate Measuring Machines Other component & general assembly inspection with the use of inspection tools and instruments including (calipers, micrometers, slip gauges, height gauges, plug and ring gauges, depth gauges, thread gauges, surface finish measuring equipment) Final Product Function Testing Compiling and maintaining supporting quality process documentation (A working knowledge of PPAP knowledge an advantage) Assisting the Quality Manager in maintaining / implementing quality assurance procedures, policies and standards Assisting in the maintenance of the company equipment calibration system Analysing quality metrics and evaluating the results Quality auditing of management systems The writing of company Non-Conformance Reports in preparation for Management disposition approval The Candidate · Conversant with inspection and measurement tools / instruments · Must have excellent report writing skills and is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications · Excellent organisational skills · Can read and understand engineering drawings · Good literacy and numeracy skills · Can work as part of a team or on own initiative · The ability to read, write and understand English.
