Job Title: Fitter Salary £30,708.60 to £34,393.63 dependant on experience £15.00 to £16.80 per hour Location: Doncaster OVERVIEW: A highly reputable manufacturing company based in Doncaster is seeking a skilled Fitter to join their dynamic team. They boast a new and ultra-modern manufacturing facility, which have a large production and stock capacities, advanced manufacturing and handling process and excellent loading facilities THE ROLE: This role will involve carrying out fault finding and repair activities in the event of any breakdowns. In addition, planned maintenance schedules and projects, including supporting drawings and documents will be undertaken in line with scheduling. -Working in line with H&S procedures and policy -Keeping accurate records of any maintenance and repairs -Basic welding and fabrication -Repairing all machinery including gearboxes, pumps, belt and chain drives etc -Working with hydraulic systems and components -Unloading and storage of all stock and maintenance deliveries -Operating to and creating any risk assessments and method statements -Working from AutoCAD drawings including reading and interpreting mechanical drawings -General housekeeping duties -Any other reasonable duties Working on a continental shift of 2 day shift, 2 night shifts and 4 days off, this role will require working weekend and night shifts THE CANDIDATE: The individual must have -Mechanical Apprenticeship, preferably to C&G or NVQ3 standard -Experience of working in Heavy Industry / Building Products -Excellent communication skills -Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team -Ability to work under pressure during breakdowns -Ability to work at heights and confined spaces THE BENEFITS (include full salary): -Full Time, on average 39.37 hours per week, working on a continental shift of 2 day shift, 2 2 night shifts and 4 days off -Hourly pay from £15.00 to £16.80 dependant on experience plus hourly production bonus if targets are met -Monthly pay -Opportunity to grow and progress in role quickly -220 hours holiday per year, increasing after 2 years' service -Member of Nest Pension Scheme -Tea & Coffee provided for free -Friendly Environment THE CONSULTANCY Edwards & Pearce is a professional recruitment consultancy with 11 specialist divisions managed by experts in their own area of recruitment Established in 1998 Employ approx 30 staff 2 offices in Doncaster & Hull Edwards & Pearce operates according to a strict ethical code and aims to offer both candidates and clients the highest levels of professionalism and customer service.
