Overview

CMS, a future facing law firm, are currently looking for an ambitious HR Operations Manager to lead and develop the HR Operations team to ensure effective and timely delivery of all HR administration, operational and transactional processes and a high quality service is delivered to internal clients. About the role This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an HR team that is going through the next phase of its' development. Duties include: - Develop and monitor service performance against agreed KPIs and SLA's. - Embed a culture of learning, growth and development across the team and monitor and respond to engagement levels. - Reporting into the Head of HR Operations and Reward you will have oversight and responsibility for the HR Administration teams that provide HR Generalist Administration, HR Benefits Administration, Talent Acquisition Administration and Learning and Development Administration. - Coach and develop the HR Administration Teams (approx. 13 headcount, 2 direct reports) ensuring the delivery of a high quality professional client service. - Create a team development plan, ensuring all team members have individual development plans and support opportunities for team members to develop and reach their potential. - Ensure all team members have Check In (performance) conversations throughout the year and objectives agreed. - Implement and monitor effective resource planning across the teams ensuring there is a talent pipeline in place. - Act as the key point of contact for new initiatives and senior stakeholders. - Ensure HR Administration teams are maintaining HR data to a high degree of accuracy and security. - Develop and implement successful process, systems and policy improvements. - Produce insightful MI reporting in order to continuously improve the service offer. - Carry out regular internal audits to support the continuous improvement of the service. - Ensure HR processes are legally compliant and meet regulatory requirements. - Deliver a variety of HR improvement projects. About you We are looking for an HR professional with experience of leading HR Operations/HR Service Delivery/HR Shared Services teams. The successful candidate will have managed the full employee lifecycle and have a commercial and pragmatic approach. Professional/Educational Qualification - CIPD qualified would be advantageous - Proficient in MS Office applications including strong Excel capabilities - Experience of working in Professional Services is desirable Skills & Experience required - Strong coaching skills with experience of managing and developing teams - Experience of managing projects and delivery of cyclical programmes - Good understanding of employment law and regulatory requirements - Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to communicate at all levels - Excellent attention to detail is essential - Strong reporting and process management experience - Process improvement mindset with strong analytical skills - Excellent understanding and use of HR systems - Ability to handle multiple priorities and perform accurately under time pressures and constraints - Ability to identify issues, risks and conflicts at an early stage, seeking assistance as necessary About us CMS are delighted to be named Law Firm of the Year at the 2018 British Legal Awards.
