Overview

Role purpose The purpose of this role is to own the Bingo product, drive it’s optimisation and build exciting and engaging bingo games. The Bingo Product Owner is accountable and responsible for the product success. They ensure the games created are enjoyable, provide a valuable experience for the players, and ultimately for the company. The Product Owner works with the commercial owner and the technical owner within the Bingo area to identify new features, and with development teams to bring them to reality. Key accountabilities Create and drive the vision and strategy for the Bingo product in collaboration with business sponsors / key stakeholders. Understand customer needs and business drivers. Discover and define product propositions to meet these needs. Capture, document and communicate requirements from a variety of sources. Gather and analyse feedback on features and products. Coordinate with Technical Architects and developers to define the technical strategy for the product. Work with the development teams directly on refinement, estimation and planning of work. Communicate an inspiring product vision to the development team. As an Agile Product Owner, work with the scrum development team: Create good quality user stories with suitable acceptance criteria. Prioritise the team’s backlog to deliver the roadmap, whilst flagging any major issues and communicating progress effectively. Establish product lifecycle processes for new/phased requirements and releases. Establish, deliver and report on product KPIs. Work with stakeholders to understand, document, triage and fix live issues or bugs. Coordinate product launches and activities with relevant stakeholders Communicate well throughout to ensure relevant stakeholders are clear on vision, roadmap status, priorities and backlog. Define the user journey/experience with UX team and design of the product/feature/story so that and represent the user in all discussions. Review/undertake competitor analysis to understand their respective strengths and weaknesses and reveal market gaps. Understand the products business model & financials. Your profile You will be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Bingo. You will have have strong commercial understanding, and collaborate and communicate well, inspiring the development team. A desire to constantly learn and improve things for your customers is key. The nature of the role means it is ever evolving, from supporting live issues to taking a product from concept through to market release. So, a degree of pragmatism, influence and adaptability as well as innovation is required. This role needs to be accountable for the success of the product so a strong delivery focus and excellent planning skills are also a necessity. Competencies and experience required Minimum Good knowledge of Bingo and Bingo player’s motivators. Interest in online gaming. Able to communicate requirements to technical teams clearly. Great collaboration and communication skills. Great analytical and synthesis skills. Highly organised with great project management skills. Strong presentation skills. Self-starter, able to work with minimal guidance. Adaptable to changing requirements. Desired Fave managed a product vertical before in the role of PO. Experience of different project management tools and methodologies. Be an Agile advocate and knowledgeable of a Product Owner's role in Scrum. Interest in new technologies and development processes. Able to define and articulate features, epics, user stories and prioritise the product backlog. Be commercially and business savvy: Able to assess the market, trends, marketing insights, business and contractual requirements. Commercial acumen - able to assess and estimate user and business value Understanding of software development practices and lifecycle.
