Overview

I am working with a Bradford-based business who are an established brand in manufacturing and are looking to recruit a Production Planner paying £25k-£28k. The business turnover just shy of £50m on site and value developing straight-forward and long-lasting relationships with both customers and suppliers. The business have a high quality and diverse product base which means they have a versatile customer base spanning a number of different industries globally. This role will form a vital part of the overall growth and development of the Supply Chain & Planning departments and there is plenty of scope for making positive changes that will greatly benefit the business. This is an established company who have a sterling reputation and you will work within an experienced Supply Chain & Planning team who will actively guide you through personal development. Day to Day responsibilities: The role will involve the day-to-day management of capacity planning and production orders. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and will be tasked to run production schedules, analyse trends and control stock levels. To identify and prioritizing time critical production orders. To liaise, expedite and update on progress on the production plan. To consolidate works orders into batches to improve manufacturing efficiencies. To manage unforeseen delays that will impact customer delivery. To resolve stock issues and co-ordinate min and max levels of safety stock. To manage updates of information via MRP. To communicate and report to internal stakeholders when updating schedules. Essential Requirements: 3 Years experience in a Manufacturing/Engineering environment. Experience on MRP & Microsoft Excel - specifically with Vlookups & Pivot Tables. Must be a strong problem solver sand cope well under pressure. To be organised and have a strong work ethic. The role will pay £25k-£28k, holidays are 25 days plus Bank holidays and working hours will be 8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday.
