Overview
HGV 1 CE Running out of the Faverdale site in Darlington delivering to routes throughout the NE & Cumbria. The driver will be delivering goods to the client’s stores in a number of locations. This work will also involve lifting as the driver will be assisting with loading and unloading as required. Shift times are: 10am to 8pm day shift - £10 per hour, 8pm to 10am night rate - £11 per hour. There will be Saturday and Sunday working, approx. 10-hour patterns. Max 3 points on their licence and at least 2 years driving experience in a Class1 vehicle. All new drivers must undergo an H&S Induction which lasts about 2 hours, if passed they will then be tagged with a driver who already works for the client first week the will follow the clients driver in their own loaded class 1 vehicle, following the successful first week they will then be given their own route which will normally be to the larger supermarket sites and will be over at least 5 days. Safety boots and presentable dress must be worn as its a customer facing role – Driver Hire polo shirts will be provided.
