Temporary DBS Cooks/Chefs all levels Full time and Part time positions available. £10.00p/h to £12.00p/h We have clients all over the Derbyshire area who are in need of Chefs to support them, when staff are off sick, on holiday or even through their own recruitment process. Because of the nature of the roles, a full enhanced DBS will be required, so that you are able to work in environments with children and vulnerable adults. This role can offer flexibility of shifts, day time shifts, occasional weekends and great pay rates. Our clients are close to many public transport links, which makes it easier to get to and from work for the required hours, the more flexible you are with locations the more work we can offer. Working Hours: The required hours of work will vary between different clients, so you can decide when you want to work. This makes it easier to fit work around your home life as well, meaning you can choose to work full time or part time hours. The majority of the hours will often be day shifts, such as 7am till 4pm, Monday to Friday. However there needs to be flexibility within this, as it can include longer hours or weekend shifts too, as it is business dependant. The Commute: If you have a car and are flexible with locations this will open up a lot more opportunities to you. If you're limited to public transport, we'll only send you to places that have public transport links and provide you with all the information you will need to get there. The locations vary from Hospitals, care homes, secure units, colleges, schools, nurseries, (we do also cover hotels, restaurants, gastro pubs, contract catering, industrial catering.) so we'll make sure to place you wherever you're comfortable. (We do have the Facilities to put you through one at a cost if needed) Main Duties: To work within a team. Ensure all task are completed for the deadline. Put away deliveries and making orders dependant on experience i.e. head chef/chef manager. Assist with food preparation and other duties in other areas of the kitchen like pot washing. Adhering to all health and safety requirements. Cooking nutritious food within requirements of the client. Sticking to a "clean as you go" policy at all times. Possibility of serving food and operating tills. Requirements and skills: Previous experience as a cook/chef at least 2 years minimum Passion for food and ability to remain calm under pressure. Own your own Chef whites, knives and chef shoes Flexibility in shift patterns including weekends. Great communication and team work skills. Hold a full UK drivers licence in order to get the best opportunities of work offered. (desired) Hold a level 2 food and hygiene certificate, dated within the last 3 years.
